As you arrive....

Step through the welcoming porch to start your holiday and you'll find a spacious boot room where there is plenty of storage and a welcome pew to take off your boots! Leading off the boot-room is the bedroom, bathroom and staircase taking you to the upstairs living areas.

Sleeping & Bathing

In the spacious shower-room and the calming bedroom you will find Luxury toiletries; quality bed linen and towels; and luxuriously soft, fluffy white dressing gowns. A TV with built-in DVD player and a dock for your IPod on the clock radio - all for you to indulge in when enjoying some much needed R&R. Tucked away, out of sight, there is a laundry area, including a washing machine and an airer. There is a stillness when in the countryside, you're guaranteed a peaceful sleep - what bliss!

Relaxing

The spacious sitting room has an enormous and wonderfully comfortable corner sofa, a wood burning stove, oak flooring with a beautiful rug and a high beamed ceiling making it the perfect place to curl up and read a book. There is a flat screen digital TV, DVD player and a library of DVDs and books. We know how important the internet and keeping in touch has become so Holly Beck Stables is also Wi-Fi enabled. If music is your thing then there is a CD player. There is a doorway from the sitting room leading onto a stone staircase down to the patio.

Dining & Entertaining

Awaiting you will be a 'Welcome to Yorkshire' basket filled with some local goodies. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering with all the crockery, utensils and recipe books that you would expect to find in your own home, along with a fridge/freezer, electric cooker with an induction hob, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and microwave.

A dining table and chairs, seating up to four people, is available for guests to dine together. All tableware is stored in the kitchen for guests to enjoy when having a night of entertaining - along with the corkscrew!

If you want to eat in but don’t want to cook – home cooked food is available to take away from the local pubs offering good quality, locally sourced meals.

The Courtyard and Garden

Walk out of the holiday cottage and you'll find a charming cobbled terrace and courtyard plus a very pretty shared garden - perfect for taking a leisurely breakfast or maybe a G&T or two on a balmy summer's evening. Lots of seating areas, including use of the stream side summerhouse, arbour and barbeque.

Floor Plan

Above is a floor plan of Holly Beck Stables (not to scale). It is a spacious and quirky holiday cottage – entrance boot room, bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and the kitchen and sitting room upstairs. As you can see it is spread over two floors. Back in the day the ground floor used to be the Stables/Blacksmiths Shop and upstairs used to be the granary to serve the farm. We have included an approximate layout so that our guests can get a better feel for their accommodation, showing the wood and flagged floors with a carpet in the bedroom.
